Mac is a proven sire, fully health tested and available at stud to health-tested, suitable bitches. His first litter was born in 2025.
He is a super all-rounder, with a fantastic temperament, working with drive and enthusiasm out in the field, whilst being chilled and relaxed at home. He is great with people and dogs alike. He is our 4th generation of home-bred Gaddyrow Labradors.

FAQ for owners of bitches:
When is the right time to bring my dog for mating?
The optimum time for mating is unique to each dog and can vary widely. For most, it is typically around day 10-14, although it can range from as early as day 3 or 4 up to as much as day 20 and beyond for some dogs.
How can I be sure that my dog is ready?
To ensure you have the best chance, we would ask that you progesterone test your dog prior to coming along. We are happy to advise how and where to do this. Once your dog is ready, we are happy to be as flexible as possible to accommodate you at the right time. See the chart below for information in relation to the optimum time for mating depending on your results.

How will it work when we get there?
Your dog will be given the opportunity to explore and familiarise herself with the environment when she gets here, on her own, in her own time until she is settled and relaxed. When we feel she is ready we will invite Mac out so that they can meet and get to know each other within a fully enclosed safe space.
What happens at the mating?
Once they have mated you will be on hand ready with us, to place a lead onto your dog when they tie, you will hold your dog steady and reassure her whilst one of us will hold Mac. It is important that we keep them calm and steady during the tie, until she is ready to ‘let go’ this is to avoid any injuries.
What happens after the mating?
We recommend that you put your dog straight into your car so that she can relax in her own space, we also suggest you do not give her a chance to pee at this stage so that as much of the semen as possible remains in your dog. We can then do the paperwork.
When do I pay and what paperwork will I get?
Payment is due at the time of mating and is not refundable. You will receive a stud pack from us with details of the mating and all the relevant paperwork for Mac, comprising a Stud Contract, copies of his health test results and pedigree, a receipt for your stud fee and photos to use in your puppy packs.
Can I come back again for a second mating?
If your dog is progesterone tested you do not need to bring her for multiple matings, but if you feel it necessary, you may return with your dog within a couple of days for a second mating.
What happens if my dog is not pregnant?
You will be able to return for one free mating at her next season.
Will you provide any help after the mating?
We are happy to provide ongoing advice and support if required and are happy to share details of litters due and / or puppies available from your litter.
